Many are finding the Jetty Village access point spends more time off line than on. There are several factors that contribute to this issue. The first is the ISP that provides Internet access to this hotspot is not reliable. It’s up and down like a yoyo. This is compounded by the lack off access to the ISP technology as it resides on private premises, which isn't always open for our access. When there is an opportunity to gain access, we might not have the time to run down and reboot. Also the owner of the Internet access some times pulls the plug on the network if people accessing the jetty village hotspot are sucking up to much bandwidth.

Not all bad news though - we are looking at other, more permanent solutions (Maybe a backhaul to the CBD tying the whole network together).

Mean while if any one knows of someone in the jetty village that will let us leverage off their Internet connection then drop as line.
